ITER's first 5,200-ton vacuum vessel built to contain plasma for fusion reactions

Reported the earlier completion of ITER's first vacuum-vessel sector and described the vessel as holding the fusion reactions; ITER's ~840 cubic metres of plasma is about ten times larger than existing tokamaks.
