The IEA's Oil Market Report for July 2026 (10 July 2026) reports that benchmark North Sea Dated crude fell about USD 22 a barrel month-on-month to around USD 68 in early July, before rebounding to roughly USD 77 after a 7-8 July ceasefire breach. It says Gulf oil exports recovered to 16.1 mb/d in June — still well below the pre-war average of about 24 mb/d — and forecasts global oil demand to fall about 1 mb/d in 2026 before rebounding in 2027, with the market moving toward oversupply by year-end if Strait of Hormuz transit keeps normalising. An earlier OilPrice.com report on the IEA's May outlook (13 May 2026) had described a widening supply deficit, with roughly 10.5 mb/d of Gulf production offline and Brent near USD 107.
